From an early fascination with beautiful engineering to a career built on trust, discretion and long-term relationships - this is the journey that shaped Zee Cartwell.

From an early age, cars were never simply transportation to me.
They were objects with character, history and emotion.
Childhood weekends were spent around model cars,
automotive books and classic rallies from as young as six or
seven years old. Many defining memories were formed in the
passenger seat of my father’s French classics, especially
the unmistakable Citroën CX Turbo 2.
Later on, the model cars were gradually replaced by actively
participating in classic car rallies alongside my father in
one of his Talbots.
What began as childhood fascination slowly developed into a deeper appreciation for the atmosphere, craftsmanship and stories surrounding historic automobiles.

What began as childhood fascination slowly developed into a deeper appreciation for the atmosphere, craftsmanship and stories surrounding historic automobiles.
At fifteen, I unexpectedly sold my first car while visiting the workshop of a classic Citroën specialist.
What initially felt accidental revealed a deeper fascination for the world surrounding historic automobiles and the people behind them.
To further refine both the commercial and automotive side of this passion,
I later attended IVA Driebergen, one of the Netherlands’ leading automotive business academies.
Over time, one principle became increasingly clear: exceptional automobiles deserve more than transactions alone. They require trust, discernment and careful representation.
Today, that philosophy continues to define Zee Cartwell.
After After building a structured international mindset within the aviation and technical industries, working alongside companies such as Wärtsilä, SNEPCO and CATOBI, I chose to bring commercial discipline together with a lifelong passion for significant motorcars.
What began as enthusiasm gradually evolved into a clear philosophy built around trust, discernment and long-term relationships. The world of meaningful automobiles leaves no room for shortcuts.
Much like aviation, it demands precision, integrity and accountability at every level.
That standard continues to define both my approach and the foundation of Zee Cartwell today.
